Ham & Cheese Egg French Toast from 7-Eleven Korea

As I had mentioned previously, I'm quite adventurous when it comes to new food items at the convenience store. When I discover something intriguing, I need to taste it and satisfy my own curiosity. Even if it's not funky, if it looks new and interesting I'll probably buy it just for the experience. This morning I came across "Ham & Cheese, Egg French Toast" (2,000 KRW) which I deemed perfect as I was looking for something to eat for breakfast. I had already accepted that anything I bought from 7-Eleven wouldn't be very healthy, and this one seemed hearty and warm, which was just was I needed as now the weather has gotten rather cold.

The wrapping has two "tear here" slits, which is actually a clever idea because it means you can tear off the extra wrapping after you've even about half of the sandwich. So smart. The instructions tell you to microwave it for 30 seconds before tearing the wrapper, but I made a small opening before popping it in because that's what I'm used to, and I figured it would heat up the food more thoroughly.

It tastes very good. The "egg salad" has veggie bits and onion, I think, which flavors the sandwich quite nicely. It reminds me of the "toast" sold by Korean street vendors: savory and sweet at the same time (due to the French toasted bread, which doesn't really taste like French toast but made the sandwich syrupy overall). And the cheese, which I presume is cheddar or American cheese or whatever, is slightly melted from the microwave... and anything with slightly melted cheese is instantly better in my book. What's more to say? I really love convenience store breakfasts. :D

How to Karaoke in Korea: Step-By-Step Instructions

Korean/Japanese karaoke is completely different from the karaoke you might be accustomed to. For one thing, it's not done in a bar; it's an individual room you get to yourselves (the group you're with) so the singing is not done in public for everyone to see. It's popular among kids and teenagers as well as adults - so though we Koreans are used to singing sober, I've heard a lot of foreigners say they'd need to be tipsy at least, if they ever wanted to try such a thing. :D And of course, it's something you would never be able to do alone (though I have gone by myself a couple of times LOL). Now, if you can find a Korean who is willing to take you to karaoke, that's awesome. But what if you're with your friends visiting Korea, and you really want to go try, but you don't have anyone to guide you and you can't speak Korean? It would be a complete shame for you not to experience one of the ultimate Korean pastimes before you go! Even if you...

"Good Morning S" (굿모닝에스) Korean Laxative is Seriously Awesome

It's time for some dirty talk - literally dirty, as in poop. So constipation is something I've been dealing with since birth. My mom would tell me that when I was a baby, she had to dig out my poop with a cotton swab because it always seemed stuck halfway. While my brother would effortlessly shoot out copious amounts of poop that sometimes even clogged the toilet from its tremendous amounts and thickness; I'd sit for long, excruciating minutes, with my red little face scrunched up in pain, failing to do the same. I don't think it changed much as I grew older. Daily bowel movement, or even regular bowel movement, is not something I can relate to. I envy with a passion those lucky bastards who wake up every morning and can take a successful dump each time. Me, I'm always counting the last time I went to the bathroom; calculating, worrying, trying to find some sort of permanent solution. I've tried plenty of home remedies: sweet potatoes, all sorts of vegetable...

Brazilian Wax in Korea at [Beauty Friends Gangnam]

A girl's first bikini wax, let alone Brazilian, can be quite daunting. If you're well aware of the sensations from plucking your eyebrows, or have tried strip waxing on safer areas like the legs or arms, you would surely be intimidated by the mere thought of having that exact sharp and prickly pain brought upon your most intimate area, where the skin is much thinner and super sensitive. That being said, I have no idea what I was thinking when I went for the all-nude Brazilian wax instead of going for standard bikini on my first try. But anyhow, since I've got my first experience out of the way, it doesn't seem like such a big deal.
