Cafe Puzzle in Hongdae - where you literally can do jigsaw puzzles!

Dates can be so much more than just dinner and a movie, and Seoul is one of the best cities to find different unique and fun activities to share with your significant other. While Navering (in Korea, Naver still outbeats Google) things to do around Hongdae, I came across Cafe Puzzle, which literally is a cafe with lots and lots of jigsaw puzzles! Located just 3 minutes from Hongdae subway station exit 9, this is a perfect way to spend a relaxing two hours with friends or dates - even better, you don't have to sit and try to make conversation, and it's completely okay to be silent and absorbed in the puzzle.

So basically you need to order one drink per person, and you can spend 2.5 hours (yes, there is a time limit, and it's 2 hours on weekends) on any number of 150-piece jigsaw puzzles. They have a wide variety of coffees, teas, juices, and even beer - all of which are not exactly cheap but it's including the prize of the puzzles, so pretty much worth it. Here is the menu:

For the larger puzzles (500 piece and over) you can purchase a box, and keep your progress at the cafe for up to three months, and come back and complete it little by little. When you're finished, you can buy a frame and take it home!

My boyfriend and I took about one hour to complete this - only half of the given time limit, which meant we had time for another puzzle, but this one left us exhausted since the last part (where all the skin is) was rather difficult and gave us headaches toward the end.

In any case we felt productive and proud of ourselves when we finished. We probably won't come here again as we just wanted to experience it, but I would highly recommend it to anyone who is really into puzzles and doesn't have the time or space to solve large puzzles at home by themselves.

Brazilian Wax in Korea at [Beauty Friends Gangnam]

A girl's first bikini wax, let alone Brazilian, can be quite daunting. If you're well aware of the sensations from plucking your eyebrows, or have tried strip waxing on safer areas like the legs or arms, you would surely be intimidated by the mere thought of having that exact sharp and prickly pain brought upon your most intimate area, where the skin is much thinner and super sensitive. That being said, I have no idea what I was thinking when I went for the all-nude Brazilian wax instead of going for standard bikini on my first try. But anyhow, since I've got my first experience out of the way, it doesn't seem like such a big deal.

Andrea Martin - Breaking Of My Heart (Lyrics)

Here's my story behind this song and its lyrics: I came across this song by total chance (via a remix made in 2013) and I was completely hooked. I hadn't heard of the singer Andrea Martin before, so obviously this song was unfamiliar too. But something about it drew me in and this is all I listened to for the past couple of days. I wanted to know the lyrics and googled it... and I couldn't find anything. There are lyric pages under this song title but it's completely wrong, probably a different song or something. This was a rare occasion in which Google failed me, and I was completely baffled. I'm guessing this song wasn't very well known if the lyrics were this hard to find, but still. Anyway, so for the handful of people in search of the lyrics like me, I've tried transcribing the song myself. Some parts weren't very clear so I just wrote what seemed reasonable, but they can totally be wrong. If anyone could provide the offiical lyrics that woul...

"Good Morning S" (굿모닝에스) Korean Laxative is Seriously Awesome

It's time for some dirty talk - literally dirty, as in poop. So constipation is something I've been dealing with since birth. My mom would tell me that when I was a baby, she had to dig out my poop with a cotton swab because it always seemed stuck halfway. While my brother would effortlessly shoot out copious amounts of poop that sometimes even clogged the toilet from its tremendous amounts and thickness; I'd sit for long, excruciating minutes, with my red little face scrunched up in pain, failing to do the same. I don't think it changed much as I grew older. Daily bowel movement, or even regular bowel movement, is not something I can relate to. I envy with a passion those lucky bastards who wake up every morning and can take a successful dump each time. Me, I'm always counting the last time I went to the bathroom; calculating, worrying, trying to find some sort of permanent solution. I've tried plenty of home remedies: sweet potatoes, all sorts of vegetable...
